SoumissionAuto.ca is operated by Clench Media LLC (“we”). This policy describes the information collected when you visit this site, the use made of it, and your rights under the Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Law 25, Québec).

What we collect — and what we do not collect

This site contains no forms and offers no user accounts. We do not ask you for your name, your email address, your telephone number, or any information about your vehicle, your driving record or your finances.

The only information processed during your visit is:

• Standard server logs: IP address, date and time of the visit, pages viewed, browser type. These logs serve the security and the proper functioning of the site.
• Advertising measurement identifiers: if you arrive on the site by clicking an ad, a campaign identifier (a URL parameter) may be kept in a cookie (témoin) and in your browser’s local storage for a short period. It is used only to measure which ads and which pages lead to quote requests. It contains no information that would identify you by name.
• Audience measurement: where applicable, audience measurement cookies are used to count visits and pages viewed in aggregate form, in order to improve the site.

Third-party services

• A content delivery network and security service technically processes requests to this site.
• An advertising measurement platform receives the visit and click events described above. When you click a quote request button, the click passes through this platform, which sends the partner a click identifier used to attribute the request to our site, with no information that would identify you by name.
• Comparison partners: when you click a quote request button, you leave SoumissionAuto.ca and are directed to the site of an authorized partner (in particular ClicAssure). The information you provide from that point on is collected by that partner, under its own privacy policy and the authorizations it asks you for, which we invite you to read.

Our servers and those of certain suppliers may be located outside Québec, in particular in the United States.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We build no file identifying visitors to the site by name.

Your rights

Law 25 gives you, among other things, a right of access and a right of rectification. For any question or request concerning your personal information, write to the person in charge of the protection of personal information: [email protected]. If you are dissatisfied with how your request is handled, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

Cookies (témoins)

You can set your browser to block or delete cookies. The site remains fully usable without cookies; only the advertising and audience measurement described above depend on them.

The date at the top of this page shows its latest revision. If we were ever to add a form or any other means of collecting personal information, we would revise this policy before putting it online.
